Skin and Cancer Associates is now providing Telehealth options to our patients via the Pocket Patient App.

The benefits of Telehealth are:

– See one of our Board-Certified Dermatologist or Providers from the comfort of your home
– Set up a visit for yourself, child or dependent
– Covered by Medicare and most commercial insurances
– Pick up your prescriptions at your preferred pharmacy

Telehealth visits are now covered by Medicare and other insurance plans with the same copay as regular office visits. This is an efficient and secure way to communicate directly with your physician.

There are 4 simple steps to start using the Pocket Patient App:

Step 1: Contact your dermatology office to schedule a Telehealth Appointment

Step 2: You will receive an email from your provider with instructions on how to download the Pocket Patient App.

Step 3: Once the app is downloaded go back into the email. The email is going to have the Practice URL and your username which is needed to log into the app. Note: If you have not already set up your Patient Portal you will receive a second email to reset your password.

Username: Your assigned username is in the email
Password: New password you created

Step 4: Connect virtually with your provider.

Q: Are Telehealth visits only for certain conditions?

A: You can be seen for more than 3,000 concerns of the skin, hair and nails.

Q: Is this covered by my insurance?

A: This is covered by Medicare and most commercial insurance carriers.

Q: What if I need a skin biopsy or in-office procedure?

A: If your provider determines that you need an in person appointment contact the office to schedule this appointment. Additional visit costs or insurance claims will apply
